Website Applications
We use the Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) group of technologies for websites that need to offer the user an interactive experience. The advantage of AJAX is that it enables efficient interaction between the user's browser and the web server. In particular it allows the browser to request particular components on a webpage, for example, for a data item, rather than the entire page. This avoids the overhead of the client's browser having to download the entire page. We build and test our AJAX applications thoroughly to ensure that they defeat the browser compatibility issues inherent with using JavaScript.
For websites that require database driven solutions, we are experienced in, and typically employ, the Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) set of technologies. LAMP is an established and popular solution for producing fast, efficient, reliable, secure applications and has the additional cost advantage in that it is open source.
